How are we operating in COVID?
Our plans are always developing as we start looking towards the upcoming term. We have numerous different approaches to our daily running in Michaelmas 2020: we are offering both socially distanced in-person performances, online streaming, pre-recoded shows and audio dramas. Currently we plan our rehearsals to be a mixture of online sessions and distanced in-person sessions where required. Our venues are COVID secure and our staging distanced.
Though the Covid-19 restrictions have forced us to cancel student theatre shows until further notice, we’re excited to announce a new online theatre festival this June
Onstage: Online, a digital festival featuring both short and longer theatre productions, from both student and local Durham talent. Running from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 June, and shows will be streamed each day on YouTube and there will be scheduled pre-recorded shows, too. More info here.
Conversations in Quarantine
We’re proud to introduce Conversations in Quarantine a series of live Q&A with artists and companies. Everything from site specific theatre to carbon neutral theatre featuring Arthur Bostrom, Nick Mohammed, John Reddel, Jake Murray and much more.
