Welcome to Durham Student Theatre
Durham Student Theatre (DST) is the home of theatre at Durham University. Durham has one of the most exciting student theatre scenes in the country, with over 100 productions annually and 33 theatre companies. From Pinter to Porter, Shakespeare to Sondheim, there is no shortage of opportunities in DST!
After 10+ companies successfully taking shows to both Durham and Edinburgh Fringe, and Castle Theatre Company’s annual Shakespeare tour of ‘As You Like It’ this summer, we are looking ahead to Michaelmas for the start of another brilliant year of theatre.
This term, we have an exciting Assembly Rooms Theatre programme - with plays, musicals, comedy nights, and showcases - but our theatre companies are performing shows across the city. Keep an eye on our What’s On page to make sure you don’t miss the creativity and talent!
