Hi I’m Jennifer! I’m a 3rd year BSc Geography student from castle college. In DST I love to act as well as try my hand at directing. As president, I am in charge of the runnings of DST. This can look like chairing meetings, liaising between members and staff or literally just being available to ask questions! I’m really excited this year to try and make DST more accessible and transform it into a society everyone feels they can be a part of! Hi, I’m Georgia and I’m a third-year maths student at Stevo. In DST, I do many things but love musicals especially. My role is to send the weekly email containing all the opportunities for members and take care of general admin, among other things. Hiya – I’m Sean, a third year biology student at South. As DST Treasurer, my main role is to budget for the year ahead and ensure the accounts are up-to-date. I also offer advice to theatre company Treasurers and Producers regarding grant applications, show budgets and anything else financial-related! Festivals Secretary
Hi I’m Tia, a second year Visual Arts and Film student at St Chads and I’m so excited to be directing this year’s Durham Drama Festival! Within DST you’ll mostly find me directing and producing, but I also love to choreograph! For this year’s DDF I can’t wait to get stuck in to a week filled with theatre, with up to nine student written shows to get involved in, as well as plenty more theatrical opportunities throughout the festival! Annie Gidney (she/her)
Outreach and Campaigns Officer
Hello! I’m Annie and I’m a second year student at John Snow College studying English. I’m so excited to be the DST Outreach Officer this year as I’ll be supporting individual theatre companies with their outreach projects as well as creating new projects and continuing existing ones involving the wider Durham community, both throughout the university and the local area. As Outreach Officer I hope to create exciting opportunities for prospective Durham students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and continue existing volunteering and charity campaigns. Events Coordinator
Hey guys, I’m Emily and I’m a 2nd year Music student at Hild Bede and I’m the Events Coordinator (party planner!) this year. I’m in charge of all things social, the highlight of the year being the extravaganza that is the D’Oscars awards at the end of the year, though I have lots of new exciting ideas I want to introduce. I’ve been super involved in DST this past year, having done 11 shows !!! Hey – I’m Amy and I’m a second year at Hild Bede studying Liberal Arts. In DST I direct, choreograph and produce. Technical Manager
Hey everyone, I’m Harry, a 4th year Maths and Computer Scientist at Butler. As Technical Manager, I’m in charge of managing the tech at DST! My role is focused around the technical side of theatre, including tech training, tech workshops, show-specific tech needs, and helping to maintain DSTs technical inventory. Ello Ello! I’m Flo and I am the Publicity Officer for this year! I am going into my final year as a Liberal Arts Student from Castle and I have been an active member of DST since getting to University. My role is to run all the DST social media platforms, making sure you’re aware of important announcements within our society, aswell as publicising our many shows, socials and volunteering/workshop opportunities. Alongside this, a big part of my role is ensuring DST maintains cohesive and consistent branding, so if you’re working on a show and have a poster – I’m sure you will come across me! Hi, my name’s Amy and I’m a third year English Literature student from John Snow College. During my time at Durham I have always been involved in DST. Although I occasionally spread into the backstage world I love being on stage, both singing and acting. Through my job as Workshops Secretary I look forward to encouraging an opening introduction between first years and existing members of DST. My main aim this year is to involve as many professional workshops as possible and give students an opportunity to explore some drama school experiences.

First Night Editor
Hi! I’m Rachel and I’m a second year at Josephine Butler college studying English Literature. In DST so far I’ve taken on a range of prod team roles, mostly producing and directing, and have been in the cast of both plays and musicals. My role as First Night Editor includes editing and posting reviews for every DST show, and creating the termly newsletter. Hello! I’m Olga, a second year at Grey doing Philosophy and Psychology. You can find me doing all sorts of things around DST, including directing, acting, and teching!
