I am this year’s DDF director. I study philosophy and am in my third year. I have directed produced and acted in a handful of plays at Durham. I am hoping that this year’s DDF will be the highlight of the DST calender and will signal a return to normality after the epidemic. Fingers crossed.

First Night Editor
Hi everyone! My name is Sophie, and I am so excited to be the First Night Editor for this year. I am a second-year History student at St Mary’s, and I’ve been involved in DST as an actor and assistant producer so far. First Night is DST’s publication and – being completely unbiased – the premier source of theatrical journalism in Durham. As Editor, I will be coordinating reviews for every production this year, as well as providing some fascinating features, interviews and the First Night Newsletter.
Please get involved and join the First Night Facebook group if you’d like to write for First Night – with a free ticket included!
Hi everyone, I manage the bar this year which means I’m in charge of organising training and rota-ing to keep the bar open and serving you lovely people. Obviously things are on hold currently, but once we’re back, we’ll be better than ever!
Hello! I’m a second year History Student at St Aidan’s and I’m in charge of publicity which essentially means that I am responsible for how DST is presented on social media. I also make sure that shows are publicised within the correct DST guidelines so that theatre companies do not get fined. The DS’T’ podcast is also something I help run and is a fun way to find out more about different shows and DST in general. If you have any questions about publicity, email me at [email protected]
I’m Niamh, a master’s student in Medieval and Early Modern Studies here at Durham. I’m your Events Coordinator for this year, so I have the task of helping us all stay social during what is sure to be an unusual year. One of my main jobs is organising the D’Oscars, DST’s annual awards ceremony and ball. Fingers crossed we’ll all be able to get together in person next summer and celebrate an amazing year of theatre! If you have any questions or suggestions for this year, you can contact me at [email protected]
