Durham Drama Festival

Durham Drama Festival (DDF) is Durham University’s new writing competition for the stage. DDF is a key event in the student theatre calendar, showcasing the wealth of creative talent among students at Durham University, and encouraging participation in theatre in any capacity. Comprised of three days of original theatre completely written, produced, designed and performed by students, as well as workshops by an invited panel of industry professionals.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Durham Student Theatre (DST) has a regular presence at the annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe: the world’s largest international arts festival. DST, on average, takes around six shows every year to the festival and it is the ideal location to demonstrate Durham’s theatrical talent to the worldwide theatre audiences.

National Student Drama Festival

The National Student Drama Festival is an annual celebration of achievement in student theatre. We have had many productions selected for showcase at the festival in the past including Beats (Fourthwall), Killology (Fourthwall), The Events (12 South), Ordinary Days (DULOG),  and The Last Five Years (TDTC).
