DULOG (Durham University Light Opera Group) is the largest of Durham’s musical theatre societies, and we would love to encourage as many people as possible to get involved with our shows! We tend to put on big shows with big budgets, ranging from the feel-good classics (such as ‘Oklahoma’ and ‘Singing in the Rain’) in Durham’s professional Gala Theatre, as well as more musically and narratively complex productions (such as ‘Company’ and ‘The Last Five Years’) in the Assembly Rooms Theatre! We are really keen for everyone to get involved – whether that’s with the prod team, the tech team, the cast or the band – however much experience you have, we would love you to come along and apply/audition! It’s time to put musicals back on stage, where they belong….

“The cast was sensational. Not only were the lead actors impressive, but the ensemble really heightened the calibre of the show, with each cast member consistently engaged and present. The big numbers were fun, slick and exciting” .(First Night)
Singin’ in the Rain
“As close to professional performance as I have ever seen” (First Night)
“Bold, brave, and at times, brilliant.” (First Night)
“Legally Blonde is sickly sweet and bubblegum pink; it’s frantic, jam-packed and assuredly cheesy.” (First Night)
“The show left my ears charmed by the angelic and soulful voices of the cast, my head thinking back to the physical and emotional mark that HIV/AIDS has left on the lives of people, and my feet reluctant to go home.” (First Night)
